We are a boutique B&B in the heart of the beautiful Vale of Belvoir. The house dates from 1625 and was originally lived in by a famous Civil War revolutionary, Francis Hacker, and his Quaker wife, Isabella. We have lovingly restored the house, retaining its peaceful atmosphere while making sure that it is super-comfortable and quietly luxurious. Fabulous showers, divine beds, huge bedrooms. Each room has a unique character. The house is full of art works and character. Breakfast is a treat - local produce including a full English as well as yoghurt, fruit salad, granola and craft roasted coffee. Nothing like toast cooked on the Aga... Why not have a fabulous massage with resident masseur Paul Clarke. The house has spacious gardens and grounds, and access to walking around the village estate. You might even want our dogs to take you for a walk! Other four-leggeds include two cats and five horses - you could also try horse-whispering with Harriet. A few minutes walk away is the famous fine dining pub, the Martins Arms, and other excellent pubs within a 10 minute drive. The village is also home to the multi-award winning Colston Bassett stilton cheese and the dairy is behind our fields - delicious! We are about a 20 minute drive to central Nottingham which has great cinema and other entertainment/shopping. We are also near charming market towns of Bingham and Southwell which has more bijou cafes and boutiques as well as the stunning Southwell Minster cathedral. The village is unspoilt and charming, with wonderful walks and of course a great area for cycling. We are also near to Holme Pierrepont National Watersports Centre and skydiving at nearby Langar. We look forward to welcoming you.
